Title: KK2 tuning help! Post by: Adityaamg on May 26, 2013, 06:10:46 PM according to this page: http://www.badlands-rc.com/kk-v2-0-guide/
we have to set the I-gains to zero in order to set the P-gains. and how do i set yaw?? 8-) still not sure about it, please help! :help: currently my quad is flying okay, but nit stable enough for fpv. :headscratch: Title: Re: KK2 tuning help! Post by: santhosh-r on May 26, 2013, 07:12:52 PM First start tuning with P and then move on D and then finally for I
Title: Re: KK2 tuning help! Post by: Adityaamg on May 26, 2013, 07:23:06 PM there no D in KK2 board
Title: Re: KK2 tuning help! Post by: Rahulvyas on May 26, 2013, 08:35:25 PM Haha, ya
proportional integral only. Title: Re: KK2 tuning help! Post by: santhosh-r on May 26, 2013, 08:39:35 PM Sorry - I don't know about KK2 but in general PID tuning takes place in the before mentioned steps...
Title: Re: KK2 tuning help! Post by: Adityaamg on May 27, 2013, 12:31:14 AM yeah, but my question is, should i turn I-gain to Zero when tuning P-gain or not?
Title: Re: KK2 tuning help! Post by: Adityaamg on May 27, 2013, 07:44:42 PM :headscratch: :headscratch: :headscratch: :headscratch:
really no one can help me? :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ Title: Re: KK2 tuning help! Post by: Dharmik on May 27, 2013, 11:07:50 PM For tuning first you have to find optimum P gain and for that it is good to bring I gain to zero so that it can not interfere with P gain. Once you find the P gain you can find I gain. Less I gain will bring copter to the level automatically. If you increase I gain you will get your copter in heading hold position, which is good for learning. Keep the I gain same as P gain or 50% of P gain.
Title: Re: KK2 tuning help! Post by: Adityaamg on May 27, 2013, 11:16:26 PM so while tuning I-gain, do i have to bring down P? so that it doesn't interfere with I????
Title: Re: KK2 tuning help! Post by: Adityaamg on May 27, 2013, 11:19:47 PM can i fly with I-gain turned down to zero? and tune it that way rather than tying it down with strings
Title: Re: KK2 tuning help! Post by: Dharmik on May 27, 2013, 11:23:37 PM Once you find P gain you don't need to change it, just keep it as it is and find I gain.
Title: Re: KK2 tuning help! Post by: Adityaamg on May 28, 2013, 12:30:04 AM but the quad's yaw is out of control, i mean its spinning round and round. tell me what to do?
Title: Re: KK2 tuning help! Post by: veloci on May 28, 2013, 01:23:13 AM Try flashing it with v1.5 or the newer v1.6. My quad flew good with the stock v1.5 settings. EDIT - In the RECEIVER TEST option, trim all the values to Zero before you fly.
Title: Re: KK2 tuning help! Post by: Adityaamg on May 28, 2013, 01:31:54 AM ok
Title: Re: KK2 tuning help! Post by: Rahulvyas on May 28, 2013, 10:19:19 AM 1.6 released? :O

Title: Re: KK2 tuning help! Post by: veloci on May 28, 2013, 04:03:31 PM Aditya, it would be wise to define your problem so that you can get some timely help.
Title: Re: KK2 tuning help! Post by: Adityaamg on May 28, 2013, 04:18:49 PM my quad is flying, but not so great.
i have issues upgrading the firmware from 1.5 to 1.6. how do i set my yaw PI settings? my quad is going forward and yawing on it own Title: Re: KK2 tuning help! Post by: veloci on May 28, 2013, 04:47:47 PM 1.What kind of 'issues' are you facing with flashing your KK2?
2.Have you trimmed all the 4 controls to zero in the RECEIVER TEST menu? 3.A video of your quad in action would probably help understand the actual problem... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8RN8wMnQpg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7pWroCxL38&feature=youtu.be http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1675613 You might find this useful... Title: Re: KK2 tuning help! Post by: Adityaamg on May 28, 2013, 05:13:03 PM have done evreything, but the yaw tuning is not good enough
Title: Re: KK2 tuning help! Post by: veloci on May 28, 2013, 05:55:39 PM Post photos and flight videos me your quad. Would like to have a look at it..

"And I can confirm that the ESCs and servos, even those connected to M2-M8, (cause they load the outputs of the KK2) must be removed when using a programmer that supplies power to the KK2! Else it is a chance of bricking the KK2 due to low voltage during flashing." Got it veloci bhaiya, even though I sold my kk2. :( Title: Re: KK2 tuning help! Title: Re: KK2 tuning help! Post by: Adityaamg on May 30, 2013, 12:27:15 AM frame is flexing.. i am making another frame
Title: Re: KK2 tuning help! Post by: veloci on May 30, 2013, 06:38:49 AM Its a good thing to do but, the flex is NOT the reason for the uncontrolled yaw that you experience in your quad.
