Title: NEED A TRICOPTER SETUP for VTOL
Post by: AL HAM SHARI on January 12, 2018, 08:59:46 PM
Hello, can anyone suggest me a three motor setup for a vtol cargo plane ? The plane should carry 3 kg extra payload, so let's assume 7 kg as the total weight, the plane should be a pusher with the rear motor which can be tilted down. The flight time should be exceptionally large like nearly 5 hours ( multi rotor only needed for take off and landing. Can anyone suggest a realistic setup of batteries , esc and motor?
.

If a pusher rear motor is tilted down, will it not nose down and dive?
Not been able to visualise what you have in mind  :headscratch:

The centroid of the triangle formed by the three motors should be at the cg of the plane, if that's correct then the plane would be stable.
