Did some further testing of Failsafe.

Took the Multirotor to around 50 feet and switched on the failsafe switch. I had set it to Landing mode so the Hexarotor landed.

The real test was when I switched off the Transmitter on the next flight and the Hexacopter made a perfect landing from 70 feet in the air. Phew..........!!!!!!!

Next week it is the GPS testings.

Cheers

I would love to see a video of the failsafe. The landing failsafe and maybe even an RTL failsafe

All the Tests completed today. The Hexacopter is behaving good.

GPS mode is holding nicely.
Atti mode is also good but with a slight drift due to winds today.
Manual mode - Is smooth. Landing are a little bumpy but that is due to my controls.
Compass Checks -
Course Lock - Not yet perfect and It requires more adjustment to PIDs as the behaviour is fine but it is more twitchy.
Home Lock - It is also not perfect and requires further tuning.

Adding the video of the Failsafe modes and Transmitter switch off tests.  Will add further videos of the on board camera. Enjoy

Flight  time is  around 12  min.  The flight was done only to capture the failsafe  in camera.

I  will attach the other video  soon as it is a large file to upload.

 cheers
