Now when this tri is hovering, he will use the edf to make the thing go forward and backwards without pitching the craft. But the thing is, the craft would still pitch if he separates the edf for th main FC
By what you said i assumed that .The craft will pitch opposite to the EDF's angle of thrust if its set vertically. Leave the rest it is a bit complex.

so my FC is directly connected to the motors. The main purpose of external esc is if you fry one or something goes wrong you just replace it. But to save weight there are a lot of things you could do instead of using ESC

Care to explain this to us simpletons please? Tongue

Pikle6 you suggested me that using one FC would be better and that a EDF would be laggy. So do you think i can use one 4000 - 6000 kv motor with a suitable slowfly prop?

Was doing some research on this wnd found someone trying to accomplish the same thing with a different and easier design. Even i thought of it but instead of the thrust line passing through the CG i wanted it to be on the CG. One motor mounted horizontally and vectored with a 360 deg servo.
An EDF will keep things compact and safe as no prop tips to cut stuff.

now what i want to know is, why would you want to keep the quad from tilting? if you want to stabilize a camera, just set up 2 servos to control the cam, and pass them through gyro's... that way, the cam will be steady no matter what the quad angle is.. whats the need of a central edf then...
