Title: Quad drifting one side and flip Post by: santoshsharma on June 18, 2014, 09:58:28 AM Hi I assembled quadcopter I am using 850KV motors with 10X4.5 propellers in X configuration with KK5.5 board.
This quad copter is flipping on left side as motor on right are rotating first before any motor on left starts. I am not sure my this is happeing. Motor no. 3 is start rotating first (X-config). 1. Turn on your Tx and move throttle to max 2. Connect ESC signal plug to rx channel 3 (throttle channel) 3. Now connect battery to ESC and it would go in programming mode 4. Check the manual of ESC to what pattern is for throttle calibration 5. When you hear that patter move you stick down. And you will hear confirmation beep from motor. Repeat this with all ESC and you might have to calibrate via KK 5.5 also. Title: Re: Quad drifting one side and flip Post by: rajsachdev on July 03, 2014, 08:34:11 AM I bought the same kit from RCBazaar recently, don't worry it flies well, these things (flips) are common for beginners like us, go slowly, check direction of motors, mounting of props, order of connection of motors on KK 2.1 (even after meticulous checking i somehow had swapped 2 output connections on KK resulting in a flip), ESC calibration is a must, you may have to try several times before you get it right, listen to the musical tones from ESc's, they should all 'sing' almost at the same time when you power up, calibrate transmitter, ensure transmitter trims are set to zero.
Your problem sounds like ESC calibration, do take props off before doing that and calibrate all at once by pressing keys 1 & 4 of KK before powering on.
