can anybody review these motors (emax 2216 800kv)
coz i red emax 2216 810kv motors gives 670g thrust with 1045 prop and 3s battery.. i previously use multistar 2212 920kv motors
(don't know there thrust) i think my quad weight around 2kg (not sure just an assumption) with batteries (4400mah 3s)
afraid that can these motors lift my quad??? :headscratch:
help.. :help: :help:

2KG ???? You sure ?? and NO , these motors wont be able to lift it .

MY quad weighs approx 1.6KG ( with 5000mAh LiPO and the metal mods i added.

Used 2836 motors with 1pprox 1.2KG thrust per motor, my quad lifts at around 60% throttle

roughly calculated weight ( coz don't have Weighing Scale ) and it weight around 1.7kg ( i take 300g margin for zip ties etc.. and also take 10 to 20g more than the real weight of each item )
any suggestion what to do now.. should i buy 11X47 props ( it gives 830g thrust with 11X47 and 3s or 950g with 1045 and 4s battery)
and i don't think multistar 2212 920kv motor gives more thrust more than 700-800g with 1045 and 3s battery..

you can even try sunnysky  980kv motors, they produce same thrust as of multistar. there is video of testing both the motors over youtube, sadly I cannot post the link right now as am using a cell phone to send this msg.

i am thinking to buy new 4S lipo ( coz it gives 950g thrust with 1045 prop and 4s battery)

if u want to invest a lill more and make the whole thing a gem, u can try multistar motors below 500kv. they ll give you enough thrust and also a great flight time. moreover instead of going with a 4000 battery you can implement laptop battery. if you play around with it, n do some manual work, they ll give a very decent flight time plus less weight.

actually don't have enough fund for motors... the max size props that can i use is 12''
do you have any idea about multistar 2212 920kv motors.. how much thrust they give with 1045 prop and 3s lipo???

around 750 to 800 max with a 1047 prop. if you are tight with budget, then you can try laptop battery it really works fine. recently an rc india member has tried it and was getting more than 20 mins of flight time.you can contact him for more technical details. I don't remember his name.

Nice build my fried

From pictures , it seems your center plates supports dji arms , do they ? you already have phantom landing skids (I would get a black pair for this CF quad ! ) :)

Most of the dji arms available are clones.  RCMUMBAI does stock originals,  but I would suggest you stay with the CF tubes because if you plan to take video, they are better at absorbing vibrations.

Don't use multistar 2212 920.  Go for sunnysky instead as it has much better bearings 2212 980(900gm thrust on 1045/3s). If Buying new motors.

As for eMax 2216 800 which u already have , it's larger and lower kv,  use 11/12 inch props for max thrust on 3s. And 10inch for 4s. More than a kg thrust. 1045/4s is good choice for this.

2216 and 2836 are same size, some follow internal stator size, some brands use external size for naminG. :)

thanx sooraj..
i don't know weather this support dji arms or not.. for that i have to check weather centre plate holes matches with the arm Bolt (fastener)..
if you have dji arms plz pm the distance between arm fasteners..

yes cf tubes are batter. but it is very difficult to balance motors on cylindrical tubes.( i tried with spirit level but not accurate..)

@pravesh736  i already bought  4s battery from forum member... (with 3s battery and 1045 props my quad lifts at almost 60% throttle) today i also fly it with 3s and 9443 props (dji self locking props) and quad lift at 70% throttle.. ( quad weight around 1.25 Kg)
