Naza works with any Rx Tx with min 4 channels.
i think you need min 6 channel radio for that.. 4 channel for aileron , elevator , throttle , rudder and one channel for setting up modes (atti. , GPS , manual and failsafe)
regards

Yes true, more the channels more you can utilize the naza functionalities. But as per the manuals it needs minimum 4 channels to work.

(U channel is also mandatory)

I think it will work with 4 channels. Without the U port connection the Naza will be in atti mode by default. Seriously though why would anybody want to spend on a Naza and not take advantage of the features?

Yes exactly. There's no point using a 4 ch Rx with naza. I would say a min 6 ch Rx will utilize atleast the standard features of it. I am using a 6 ch Rx with failsafe but at this point I feel wish I have some more channels to use!!

@gunna maybe setting up the naza from the beginning for 4 channels may work, but who cares Smiley
@Amitava I use the 9xr with Frsky module and all my channels are booked:(

@gunnu Using 4 channel is not sufficient for any quad unless you r using it for simple flying in one fixed mode.
@ashimda Correct me if I am wrong. With 9xr and Frsky module you r getting 8 channels right? ( unless u r using a s.bus ). Are you using gimbal control with your radio?

Fs ct 6b has 6 channel support, so 8 ch tx rx is suggested ?

@jsquadman As gunnu said, with 6 channels you can use the basic functions of naza. Like flying in the 3 modes, failsafe and even intelligent Orientation Control (IOC) Flight (with GPS module) but only 2 modes. Aerial videography can be done but with a fixed camera. Now if you want to add features like camera gimbal control, onflight gain controls etc then you have to have more channels.

Friends,
While configuring the naza with a 6 channel radio specially Orange T-six and utilize most of its functions, I had to struggle a lot and had to do lot of trials and errors to properly tune the setup. Didn't get much help from the internet as there are very few videos which shows how to configure a 6 channel radio.
So here's a video I prepared which shows how to configure a 6 channel radio to use all the flight modes of Naza (both lite and v2).
I have used a Orange T-six, 6 channel radio and Rx Orange R620 with failsafe.
It will work for the following basic modes:
GPS
ATTI
MANUAL
FAILSAFE (both manual and auto)
IOC (any 2 modes as the 6 channel old T-six has no 3 position switch)

The receiver I have used is R620 with failsafe. Failsafe will not work if the Rx doesn't support failsafe. R615 or R610 will not work for failsafe.

The Rx Failsafe binding process is not shown in the video as there are many such videos in youtube. One is:

Also the different calibrations like ESC, Throttle, GPS compass and IMU are not covered here. They are very simple and there are many in youtube.

Hope this video will be helpful for those who are using 6 channel radio with naza.

Not sure how to embed the video! Sad Here's the video link:

Planning for an aerial video from my quad, but do not have a fpv setup or a gopro or a mobius right now. So thought of using my friends Nikon coolpix. Used an old mobile pouch for holding the camera on to the quad.
The video quality was not that good as it has lost focus a number of time. But it was worth trying! Here's the video finally.
