All the open source Flight controllers comes with Default PID values. But if you are writing code yourself , how to find those default values ? PID values are very hard to get. I am working of arduino based flight controller and diy receiver and transmitter. You will need 3 potentiometer and some piece of mind for coding. After all arduino and coding thing, start throttle and quad will try to balance itself and you have to disturb quad then quad will try to balance itself.You have to increase and decrease pid values so quad can be balanced. You will get pid values after many changes in PID values & testing. You can check pid video of Joop brooking and Electronoobs. Title: Re: Quadcopter PID Tuning - Where to start ? I saw those videos. did you complete implementation with test flight ? My build reacting differently with and without string setup. There is no maiden flight of my quad as recently my laptops instantly turned off when i tried to balance lipo with tp4056 module. I have tried with motor spinning. Today, i tested receiver there is an problem in my diy nrf24l01 receiver So, I am working on it. My Diy Quad project is in progress. PID values are very hard to get bro. Problem can be in gyro also as many people uses a double sided tape to stick mpu6050 with quad fame which is not good because of vibration.
