Quadcopter with lower kv motors and bigger props key to longer flight time with normal battery lets say a 4s 5000 Mah paired with a 360-520 kv motor with 15 -17 inch props can give amazing flight time upto 30-40 mins flight time with a gopro n a Gimble...


Guy I want your views on this

Your idea is theoretically correct,but 40 min is impossible, unless you get a 100% efficient system.
Also motor selection is done by calculating your AUW, With 360 - 520Kv motor and 15-17 " prop, you will get Kgs of thrust.

380 kv multistar with a 5200 mah 10 c 4s with a custom made frame at 17 inch c.f. Props

This is no theory my friend this is reality now but bit of an expensive affair.... Will be doing it in sometime..

40 mins flight time is doable with high efficient combination, but i cant believe that done with gimbal & gopro using 5.2Ah battery. in my view at least need 8000mAh battery

But if we plot battery capacity to flight time of a quad,
I can assure the curve won't be linear....... So don't take it that way and burn holes in your pocket.

Am I going more theoretical ? bless me I don't explain situations like in  this scientific manner, really...........
I believe in prctical - make it - test it - confirm it.

Its possible get a 40 min tbe discovery pro with endurance upgrade kit and tmotor prop
This set up with two 6s 4000 mah tbs batteries will give you
35 mins flying time or 40 mins hovering time

With one battery it gives 25 mins hovering time

It flies carrying video tx and a two axis gimbal and s go pro

I have a quad 700mm
With 320kv sunnysky motors
16" props
6s lipo 5000mah
Without any extra weight getting around 25 min of flightime..
Sometimes getting ariund 30min hover time
So its possible always.. but with 4s and 15" prop I doubt
