Title: Returning to the RC world again. Need advice on upgrading quad.
Post by: r3ap3r on October 13, 2018, 04:51:12 PM
After a hiatus of almost 2.5yrs I've clean and dusted my f450 to soar the skies again.
My setup:
F450 with stock dji 2212 motors, usual 30A simonk escs, naza lite hacked to naza v2. Frsky V8fr-II rx m, a half dead gimbal, sj5000x elite, ts5828 vtx and powering this horse is a 3300mah battery...
Yes I don't have a vRx because tbh I lost my fatshark gogs :( :(

Mostly I do aerial videography and intend to continue the same however I would like to ask the senior community here for their inputs as to what additions and subtractions should I do to the quad for:
1. Longer flight time (currently at 10-12mins full load)
2. Smoother videography
3. Suggest a good vRx

Thank you.

i think the esc are old and heavy..
consider upgrading to a 4in1 ..saves weight and newer esc are always more efficient.
a new frame made of c.f will also do great... painless 360 is doing  agreat series on  endurance quad build...maybe follow it.!

Sounds about right. Ordered a S500 frame since the old one is showing signs of ageing (read crash scars)

Kindly elaborate on the esc you mentioned.
