Hello all,
I recently made an hexacopter with tons of components. The components are:
1) H550 hexacopter frame
2) Pixhawk flight controller
3) 2 x 5200mah 4s Multistar Low discharge Multirotor batteries =  10.4 Ah 4s
4) QK 1250mah 3s for lights, light strips, gimbal, vtx.
5) XRotor 20 A ESCs high timing
6) X8R receiver with 433mhz telemetry
7) Walera G-3D gimbal with Xiaomi Yi action cam, also used for FPV with minim osd.. With 32ch mini 5.8GHz vtx...
Cool Sunnysky x2212 980kv motors with 9045 HQ props  Bang Head

The problem is I planned the weight to be around 2.2kg at max. But it went 2.7kg and for my further project I am sure it will reach 3kg. Right now I am using Sunnysky x2212 980kv motors with HQ 9045 propellers. The motors are pretty good to generate that amount of thrust but they are getting much load and getting hot just after around 7-8 minutes of flying. I know the built is so badass for that motors so for safety I decided to get new motors but I am confused which will be best for me. I don't want any motor get burnt in flying and get whole multi kiss the ground immediately.

I can use 10 inch props with my setup, and PS battery setup is way big and I know that. Any suggestions are always welcome.

Please recommend me best motors for my built that will not get hot even after 30 mins of flying (if it delivers such flying time).

I appreciate each your replies.
Thank you
Regards
Durgesh

2312 motors built for DJI p3 are suitable. You can even try 2814 dys motors they can take up 3kg weight with ease. They provide good thrust.
You can also go for 2216 emax motors. They are fine.
Moreover the ESC you are using are fine but it would be better upgrading to 30A.

Thanks I appreciate your reply. Even my Sunnysky motors are able to generate that thrust but they are getting hot so soon. I just don't want my motors to get hot or get burnt in mid air. I can consider switching to 30A ESCs. I was thinking about some NTM motors or EMAX MT series motors. Which will be better? I just don't want my motors to get hot, I don't want great air speed.

Emax motors build quality is better than NTM. Emax have good bearings and runs smoother so efficiency is also better.
Moreover it is not recommended to have such big battery as 10400mah. It is rather heavy and ultimately drains faster. Better to go for single 5200mah battery but it must be rated to take load. You would reduce 450gm of load by having single battery.

Would recommend changing your motors. You can change the ESCs to 30A, but the motors were not designed to be used with 4S, regardless of how much many people say it works fine.

Not sure if you are using 10" props, but if you are that's a big no no. Use 9045 max with these motors on 4S.
