Honestly, I find the whole hobby very fascinating. My Syma x12s should be arriving in a day or two, cant wait to get my hands on it!

Nothing too fancy since its my first build and I'm sure its gonna get banged up really good trying to learn how to fly.

Here's what I've ordered.

Frame: QAV250 Carbon Fiber
Motors: SunnySky 2204 2300KV
ESC: 12A EMAX SimonK
Controller: NAZE32
Props: 5030 2 blade propellers
LiPo: QK 1500 mAh
Radio set: Avionic RCB6i

Got any beginner tips? 

yeah .. its your first build soo then first of all you will need lots of lots lots of Patience otherwise you will can easily fry up your fc or rx or other things. soo be careful at connecting the wires first time. last thing u vl also need a small power distribution board thats all bro.. BEST OF LUCK

I am planning on making my own quadcopter control board with an Arduino Uno R3 like many others. I'm basically doing this to have an in-depth experience insteading of just going for a ready made control board. I have already failed trying to make a mini quadcopter with brushed motors because I couldn't find suitable motors... The control board worked pretty well but max throttle could only balance gravity at most  . Neways, This time around I have saved some money to use brushless motors and am planning to order the following from hobbyking:
1. set of 4 Emax 1806 2280kV CW and CCW threaded motors
2. Gemfan 5040 props
3. Hobbyking FPV250 racer frame
4. Mystery 12A ESC
5. ESC programmer Hobbyking for Blue series
7. Avionics RCB6i 6channel rx and tx (from local RC shop and not hobbyking...i know the drill  )

The problem is that I already have a 3s Horeson 3300maH Lipo with with me. This is why I don't want to invest on LiPo rightaway.  I don't want it to be super maneuverable or something. Just want to test whether everything is working before ordering a lighter Lipo (1300mAh).  My question is that whether this configuration will be able to lift this 3300 mAh battery? The battery is close to 300g...plus its a year old and has been recharged about 10-15 times till now.

I don't think you should put such a heavy battery on that mini quad... I suggest you buy a 1300-1800mah battery for your quad

There's no way a miniquad will be able to lift a 3300 mah battery. The weight will be far too much, and even if it does fly, it'll be like swimming in honey. Go for a 1500 mah battery, or 2200 maximum if you don't have any other components.

Also, slower motors + bigger props = more lift.

I'll ultimately use a 1300 - 1600 mAh battery for flying...What I'm just asking is that will I be able to at least test out the quadcopter with the 3300mAh battery before buying a new battery  ?
Or should I consider a bigger frame will lower kV motors with more power ratings and bigger props  ? The problem with a more powerful combination is that it could cross my budget  ! The 250mm configuration,  however, is perfect for my budget  .
I heard people using the 250mm quads to lift 350g camera setup (unless they were lying  ). If that is true then won't it be able to lift my 300g battery  ?

yes. people carry cams with weight greater than 350gms on 250 quads because their motors are efficient enough. They might be using blackout mn2208 motors or cobra cm2208 2000kv motors which give almost 1100 gms of thrust drawing 20~25amps.. and these motors are not cheap either.
Since your system doesnt give that much lift per motor, you cannot afford to make your quad that heavy

Based on the test in RCG by Mustang7302, you could expect total 1400-1500gms thrust at full throttle without overloading your ESCs, on 5x3 props.
Since your airframe without battery is probably less than 500gms, it should be able to carry a 300gm battery at part throttle.
