Title: Turnigy Key Chain camera strapped to my quad - Videos
Post by: veloci on January 13, 2013, 06:54:44 PM
Hi everyone. Here is my first rookie video taken from a turnigy keychain camera that was strapped on to my custom built 550mm quadrocopter.  ;)

http://youtu.be/6nR-k5Yg0IA

My setup:
Motors - AX380N 1200Kv
ESC - Turnigy Plush 18A
Battery - Turnigy 2200mAh, 20c discharge rate
FC - KK2 board flashed with v1.5 firmware
Arms - 12mmx12mmx0.8mm cross-section aluminum extrusion
Centre-plate - 5mm thick polycarbonate sheet
Landing gear - Hiller 500 Heli Skids with aluminum rod
Camera - Turnigy keychain cam (of course!!!)  ;D

Any suggestions/remarks would be appreciated!

PS - I am very grateful to Adiboy for sourcing the FC, the complete power system and the Camera at a great price & sincerely thankful to Ashta sir for helping me figure out some anomalies over phone.

Btw, how did u 'fit' the cam to the quad sir? I used double sided foam tape along with a piece of high density foam to achieve the required angle. Would luv to snag a few ideas frm u :-D

unfortunately this list doesn't have your radio settings , but you need to do some R&D for getting all six modes!
If you have any doubt  call me!

I have already gone through that sir. In fact, the whole tuning and setup was done by referring the diydrones arducopter page. Will give it another try and call you at a suitable time. Thank you sir.

Very impressive footage. Any plan to record it on hd cam later?

Thanks Dharmik bhai!
This is the 420TVL sony camera that i bought from Quadkopters.
Quality is good when connected to a TV/Monitor but once i start recording, the quality goes down....
The USBDVR seems to be the culprit here.
Planning to upgrade to HD cam/GoPro soon...  ;D
