Hello everyone,

I am building a large hexacopter (680mm+) with DJI Naza M V2 FC, DJI iOSD Mini, FrSky X8R Receiver, 600mW vTx and a Taranis Q X7 Transmitter. I have also installed a Retractable Landing gear to the frame. I am using the D16 mode on the receiver with an S-BUS connection. Can someone guide me how I should setup the retracts?

I managed to operate the landing gear up and down using a spare 3 position switch on my transmitter. (Setup on Channel 10) But I am wondering how to connect that to failsafe. My requirements are:

If the FC enters  failsafe mode (by either switching off the transmitter, engaging failsafe switch or transmitter loses range) retracts should be deployed.
When the hexa reaches 2 meters altitude, retract should go up and below 2 meters it should come down.
The 3-position switch I am using should be set as "Gear Up", "Gear Down" and "Auto". Can we do this and how?
Can I set this all up using logical switches? Please explain how. Is there any way we can read the GPS altitude info on OpenTx?

I apologize for asking too many questions in one post.  Smiley But would appreciate if anyone can guide me or give some pointers.

Since no one was able to reply to this, I did the following:

1. Ordered an FrSky GPS Sensor (https://www.frsky-rc.com/product/gps-2/)
2. Connected the GPS Sensor to my X8R using smartport.
3. From my Taranis transmitter, I was able to fetch the GPS sensor altitude value using telemetry.
4. Created a logical switch and set that up with the retracts physical switch. Now I can trigger the retracts with custom altitude parameters.

I am yet to figure out how to connect the retracts with failsafe though.
