Eventhough I have not been into multis' I vote for  H.A.L hexacopter frame 775mm ....
it looks sturdy and build is very good.... good looking...

Hey rahul i vote for H.A.L it is quite sturdy and for cheap tarot is quite expensive. Unless you will do Photography with a high end DSLR cam i think the tarot would be useless. A cheap DSLR is what i think i would mount on the H.A.L

Plus you have a 28-14 so according to specs it should fit, if the H.A.L crashes(god forbid) you can buy another one inside the price of the tarot.

Well. tarot is for 115$ incl shipping.
HAL costs 95$ incl shipping. so not a big diff.

aluminium. CF is too expensive.
x800 is carbon fiber and affordable 145$

If CF then go for tarot, but the cf looks like stickers and tarot is written in aluminium colour on it so i suspect  if its cf. They have just laser etched their name on the inner aluminium.(It does look like that)

Bro, there are two versions- alu and cf, I have put the alu version in the poll and not the cf.
but cf looks cooler

In the end it comes to: if the better one is in my budget why should i buy the cheaper frame.
If you have money to spend on the x800 then thats the best otherwise go with tarot which looks quite sturdy and good.

x800 is in my budget. going for it then!

Rahul I will tell you the landing gear of x800 is a crap.. don't go for that...

Its a flexible kind of plastic and will bounce while landing.. I have the similar landing gear and struggled a lot.. I just altered it now by giving two cross support with cf tube of 10mm

i have seen the hk HAL personally, and its a solid frame.
CF feels fragile to me personally.

@arun sir, thats what I am looking for, any replacement landing gear?
I know HAL's good. but if I can afford CF, why not CF?

@adityaamg- Exactly. Its a well built frame. but its aluminium. CF is much better and most of the high end frames use CF as the material.

or how about the rctimer 800mm s800 clone frame?

S800 clone has many complaints... that the arm joints are week...

Hey rahul you just made your own fricking Hex man , when the frame arrives analyse the problem in the landing gear and work around that and make a solution. That way you add your own personal touch to the frame

I believe in custom building. Till now i have built 2 frames 3 rd one i am working one from last 2 months. And its almost final i will start working on it in couple of weeks time.

and great. I faced problems with loosening of motorss. really a big issue. also problem with landing gear, how do you build that?

Sadly i did not bother to take the images of the second frame hence i dont have anything to share sorry

About loosening the motors use loctite, i used to face this problem a lot but then i used loctite. Which prevent the screw from loosening.

Landing gear: First i used the acrylic sheets to build the landing gear which was very awesome light weight and sturdy too. But sometimes it was very hard to cut them.

One question: why are you going into heavy lifters? why don't you first atleast try you hands on a small to medium quad? 450 - 550 mid size quads. Do you that, when the quad size is increased the after crash cost is increased drastically

My one suggestion would be to first try your hands on a 450 size quad get used to fly quad and then go for heavy lifters. You should know how quad behaves in wind. This is just my advice as i believe in doing things step by step. Please don't get offended

Ya, I know I should go step by step. But as my quad wasnt soo stable, I am going for a hexa. I think I can do basic flying easily. my last hexa was flying okay as per the frame I built. ( the only problem was nowhere to put the battery and so you see the battery's sticker came off due to using tape)

I want to lift a small sony camera and I want to fly stable. so I went into heavy lifters.

My first built( which failed) and second build were quads only.  Kk2 wasnt a good board even though it was plug and play.
I now will order Arduflyer with GPS and telemetry from adiboy today or tomorrow.

I hope GPS will be stable. I dont mind wasting time in tuning PID because this project was initiated for learning and research.

By the way, are you ok with the batteries? they work perfect?

Haven't tested the batteries yet very busy these days. Work and Store have to manage both

@arun bhaiya, well failed means, I couldnt fly it well and it wasnt very stable. motors had bit too much thrust for that frame,it flew to fast., right?
and you are a professional sir, expert at this, you can even fly broken quadcopter( kidding ) , you are good at this bhaiya

You are true a bit over reacting to the controls.. but I liked it very much.. good to learn as I am a beginner.. I can fly it without worries.. cost me only 5k to build..
