Title: TriCoptor
Post by: arunfemin on June 04, 2012, 02:10:05 PM
:banghead: Why tricoptor? the answer is so simple..Its a very stable platform for some good aerial photography and its very exciting to build something from scratch and see its working.

:hatsoff: Its about my tricoptor build..I took the idea from the site www.RCExplorer.com http://rcexplorer.se/projects/tricopterv25/tricopterv25.html and I am so glad the it helped me alot.I started accumelating the parts 1 year ago from www.hobbyking.com and e-bay,Two weeks before I started constructing and its in it's final stage guess what "ITS FLYING"

As like every beginner I too had problem for time, setting up,tuning up,and I reffered fue sites to get it done..and Would like to let all beginer tricoptor builders to help setting up as I did.

The picture is taken fue minuts back..and its far from complete but flying..the build pictures and parts details wil be updated soon..Thanks..Safe Flying..

Moved to the multi-rotor forum.

Did you build it in AbuDhabi or Kerala ?

As I said the design is a barrow from Mr.David rcexplorer.com this is the template http://rcexplorer.se/page24/files/Tricoptertemplate.pdf

For me the easy way to find was aluminum to make the template els you can ask electronics parts shop for coperclad which is used to make DIY printed circuit boards and make sure its not mica insted glass fiber that stuff is really strong and that matches the requirement and really lite its 1.3 to 1.5mm thick.

this is my plates which is 2mm thick and its heavier than same size glass fiber  ;)

3mm bolts held tight and locked with locktite or any instent qure glue to make sure it will not come loos due to vibration(vibration is a killer for gyro sensitive divices)

the picture is attached.
