Post by: dap on December 03, 2013, 03:49:54 PM
I have a 2.4 ghz RC transmitter from Go Fly Kite of Singapore. Do we have to approach for approval to wireless commission.
Thank you

If you already have the Transmitter with you, then its no need to approach the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
But, if you want to import one from foreign then you definitely need a NOC Certificate from WPC(New Delhi) allowing you to import your 2.4Ghz TX.

Hello
Thank you for the last reply.
I have already received the transmitter along with the kite from Singapore through international Speedpost for which a marginal duty had to be paid.
I had ordered extra three receivers from Go Fly Kite so that the transmitter can be used along with other aeromodels. The receivers are held at Mumbai customs and they are demanding certificate from WIC for approval of the transmitter.
Kindly advice the correct procedure.
Thank you,
