Title: 2.4G wireless (wifi) device need ETA approval from WPC?

I imported wireless (wifi) device from HK. It's works on band 2.4G, i'll have need any kind of licences?

Please suggest.

its not required if the freq is open to use. Which 2.4Ghz is but then ETA is utmost required.

Hi
Have you received the item ?
If you have received it just use it.

1. ETA is Equipment Type Approval to be obtained from WPC
2. Import License is to be obtained from WPC after ETA
3. Then there is License to be obtained from WPC to use that frequency. But, 2.4 GHz frequency and some more frequencies are license free.

1 & 2 is required for importing of item having any frequency. If you have already received it just don't worry about 1 & 2

If it is held by customs, asking for ETA then it is difficult to obtain as an individual.
Go through this to understand the procedure.

If possible ask them to send back.
