Learning to Fly

Anyone familiar with WFLY 9 Ch Radio? Seems like this WFLY - WFT09S-II is around $380-400 price band. Now the question is if one is spending 400 + custom and additional Rx at $40, is it better to stick to known brands like Futaba/Spektrum/Sanwa ?

Check out the company website http://www.wflysz.com/en/product_detail.asp?id=9

and the shop at

IN THRUST WE TRUST.....!!

is it better to stick to known brands like Futaba/Spektrum/Sanwa ?

it is advisable to go for some better and standard relaible radios than save some  :Rs:1000 and go for some Chinese radios....and USD 400  is 20,000. that is higher than a futaba 7c with  4 servos, charger , switch and what not...!

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&P=SM&I=LXSEJ8

REMEMBER that in order to save 1000-3000 on the radio u are putting a plane worth 6000-10,000( talking about nitros) in to a risk of crashing...

radios are one time investments. so better to invest wisely..
 Salute

i think u get a good SANWA radio at RCdhamaka for some  :Rs:9000. if u want a cheaper RCbazaar is selling a 6ch for  Indian Rupees 2000

Complete Crap and shadow marketing gimmick. The 4096 resolution sounds interesting, but how many people have used the Radio? Besides, where to get the additional receivers and at what price.

The closest thing I can compare to buying a Radio is the factors you consider buying a Car

1. Safety (Your life Vs your costly)
2. Reliability
3. Spare Part proce and availability
4. Features.
5. Look and Feel.

If price is not a big barrier, I always recommend people to stick to Top-5 OEM Brands like Futab/Jr-Spektrum/Sanwa/Hitec/MPX etc. Those on a low budget should stick only to most tested alternatives like Turnigu 9x and clones.

This above Radio is as costly as 14-Channel futuristic Futaba 8FG , which has most of features of Pro radio like Gimbals, SD Card, Assignable channels,  Lipo Compatibility, etc and costs almost $379 after discounts from Towers.

As R/C Vish rightly said -STAY AWAY from this Radio. Go for locally available OEMS like Sanwa/JR/Futaba which you can easily buy without customs hassles

My thoughts exactly. Usually, this kind of price is not associated with a radio coming out of China. Searching with this model on Google was not effective. I could not locate any proper review of this product. I could not locate the manual for this version. What I got was for an earlier model wherein the manual stated "this is the only radio with both Heli and Aero capabilities" - TALL Claims Cheesy

Thanks for the research Pankaj sir... good to have you back on the forum..
Not surprised that there are similar 'Jacks' in China too... "The Only Radio with....." since when ? before the Internet Era ? This should be more alarming and another reason to keep away from a brand which indulge in such a blatantly false claim... may be their target are the unsuspecting common people and Rookies in the hobby. I doubt they would have done any amount of QC/Field testing...knock down copy from local items. I would recommend even HK/Turnigy Radios over them any day
