RC India - Flying and racing with open minds !

Interesting, did not know about this so far.  So when used with an airplane or a heli (instead of a crawler/car), would the throttle range be only half of the usual range of stick movement ?

My brother drives a car around with his simple 4ch air radio, with some trim settings to handle to brakes.

Here are the product details I found on www.Airtronics.net website: Thumbs Up

Product Description.

Airtronics RDS8000 8 CH 2.4G Crawler SurfaceTx/Rx Only RDS8000

This is the RDS8000 Crawler Edition from Airtronics with 1 receiver.

The RDS8000 Crawler Edition is a full-featured 8-channel system designed for use with your RC Rock Crawler. Both sticks are self-centering. A top-quality digital radio, the RDS8000 is noted for its ease-of-operation and programming. The included owner's manual and the ability to use both basic or advanced program menu makes the computer easy to program.

Includes transmitter battery, dual charger, and switch.

The RDS8000 Crawler Version retains its standard aircraft radio features:

The RDS8000 is a full-featured 8-channel system, packed with capabilities for all types of aircraft. A top-quality digital radio, the RDS8000 is noted for its ease-of-operation and programming. Helicopter, fixed wing aircraft and sailplane pilots will all benefit when using the standard features of the RDS8000.

Whether flying a basic model or one that requires advanced features, the RDS8000 can do it all! One of the key features of the RDS8000 is the ability to use both basic or advanced program menu.

The RDS8000 makes programming easier by allowing you to turn off any programming screen not required. Because it uses Airtronics' FHSS 2.4GHz communications technology you never have to worry about an 'open frequency'. Fly any time with confidence.

The new 92824 8ch 2.4 GHz Receiver is a perfect match for the RDS8000 transmitter. Once binding is complete, it is almost impossible to interrupt the communication between them.

Includes transmitter battery, dual charger, and switch. Does not include servos or receiver battery.

Note: Mode 2 has the throttle with ratchet on the left. (Item 751700) Mode 1 has the throttle with rachet on the right (Item 751701). The Crawler version is Mode 1 with no ratchet - Both Sticks self-center.

RC India - Flying and racing with open minds !

Karthik - If you are familiar with this radio, can you answer my question about the throttle range while used with planes/helis ?

Or does one have to hold the throttle stick down manually before take off  and after landing ?
