Deepakrao  on another thread had asked for the comparison of Hitec Optic 6 and Optic 6 Sport .

Here is the comparison of their features .

Thought I would summarize the differences :

1) Optic 6 sport has a 10 model memory against the 8 of Optic 6
2)  Models can be named in Optic 6 but not in the Sport
3) The Optic 6 Modulation is both PPM and Q PCM but the Sport is only PPM
4) The Optic 6 has a timer function as well with a larger LCD display
5) The Optic 6 operates on 9.6 V  where as the Sport operates on 7.2V
6) Acro Programming :
2 Mixes on the Optic 6 as against 1 on the Sport
Ailevator ( Dual Elevator )  Mix , flap trim , landing mode and flap control knob are there on the Optic 6 but not on the sport
7)Heli Programing : Hover Throttle/Pitch control knob on optic 6 but not on SPORT
8)Glider Mode :  2 Mixes on the Optic 6 as against 1 on the Sport  and CROW/MIX/Flap trim knob is present

These seem to be the general differences .

I have opted for the Optic 6 myself mainly for the facility of the additional mix option but that is a personal choice looking at it in hind sight the extra model memory might tip the balance the otherway for some one looking at flying many models on a single radio .

IN FACT IT WOULD BE INTERESTING TO SEE  HOW EXPERIENCED RC PILOTS  VIEW THESE DIFFERENCES : SAIKAT AND SUJITH HAVE ALREADY FAVORED THE OPTIC 6 ON THE OTHER THREAD .

Also I think OPTIC 6 has a removable RF Module where as OPTIC 6 Sport has non removable RF section inside the Tx. One could use Spectra Synthesized Tx module in 72 MHz frequency band also apart from the Spectra 2.4 GHz Tx module.

Correct I for got that difference
