Title: Detrum Stabiliser Testing
Post by: Aeroresurrect on November 27, 2018, 08:20:03 AM
The other day I was testing my stabiliser (mounted on a small wooden board) with all servos (aileron, rudder, elevator) attached.

After due initialisation of the stabiliser in airplane conventional rudder-elevator mode, I observed the following phenomena :

While the stabiliser was responding perfectly to the 3 modes as specified - normal, gyro off and acrobatic and the 3-axis disturbances, while controlling the Tx, I found that on operating the elevator, the rudder servo was responding..... (however, the ailerons were ok with the Tx response).

After unhooking the stabiliser from the Rx and reconnecting the servos to the Rx, things were back to normal !
Can't figure out what could be the problem with the Stabiliser....more technical inputs and R & D required perhaps ! The manual covers mostly initialisation and different types of aircrafts in detail.

Sorted out the problem....
It was a simple wiring mistake I did at the Stabiliser end !
Now working OK.
