Title: Futaba next type of 6-ch 2.4Ghz Radio
Post by: Harveer on November 29, 2010, 01:05:53 AM
Futaba announce the next type of 6-ch 2.4Ghz Radio. The transmitter system will use the 2.4GHz FHSS. The main feature is that is the first air radio using no antenna.

So just like External Antenna disappeared form cell phone (Like one in Nokia 8110 used by 'Neo'), 2.4G Tx are following the suite?

Personally, I think 6-Channel Futaba Tx like 6EX are not value for money at all. They are just too basic. Spektrum D6xi is much better in that term.

Nice information any way Harveer. Hope Futaba enhances  its 7/8channel FAAST Tx and make them more Value for money. My Futaba T7C is all good but it looks so cheap piece of plastic - especially the plastic Handle!! Shame Futaba!!! Even 4Ch Walkera has Steel handle.

Looks like this uses a pure FHSS system, that is incompatible with FASST.  And this is only a parkflyer system.

Wonder if the OrangeRX cheap receivers in the parkflyer range has something to do with their decision to come out with a new and incompatible radio system in that range :headscratch:

Not necessarily a good thing.  I have seen two cases where the steel handle broke off from plastic bodies of radios, at the application of some force (under less than desired circumstances, of course).  Everything being molded in a single piece of plastic seemed like it would have a better chance of surviving the said incidences.

At the 6 channel level, the DX6i is a better radio in terms of display and programming.  Basically, any radio which does not show the trim settings of all 4 channels on the main screen is not convenient at all.

At the 7 channel, the DX7 is inferior to the Futaba 7C by the same yardstick.
