Title: HITEC Aurora 9 with FRSKY DHT-U
Post by: paladugu_sujith on June 14, 2012, 02:58:34 PM
hello guys

i finally managed to get the 2.4 radio system from frsky. the DHT-U telemetry unit.

Hitec Aurora 9 is the best transmitter system I had used ,  but does not feature PPM Sum . PPM sum feature is possible now with FrSky DHT-U.  FrSky DHT-U is firmware upgradable two way transmitter module can be clamped to the transmitter handle/antenna.  All-in-one combination of telemetry capable, in-built display and alarm threshold settings  featured.

This transmitter module can be usable with

Hitec,
Futaba,
JR/Spectrum
T9x.

Compatible Receivers with DHT-U transmitter module

Mode of DHT-U (Selectable on module menu)   Compatible Receivers
V8 _Mode   Non-telemetry receivers (V8FR-HV, V8R7-HV, V8R7-SP, V8R4)
D_Mode   Telemetry receivers (D8R, D8RSP, D6FR, D4FR)

My choice is  D8fR 2  receiver. Because

RSSI (PWM) and CPPM (8 channel)  output ,
Lighter weight and physically smaller,
Fail Safe
telemetry capable

some pictures are attached and PIN diagrams.

Nice but some messy work ! i did it for my module about 2 months ago! but buzzer was damaged ! so any how i dont use it for FPV flying,so thinking to add when required!
Works good! cheap receivers with telemetry!

if it was only soldered we could have removed easily ! but its glued to PCB that's the problem. :)
