Is this a fact?
Or an opinion?

I soldered back the antenna on an FrSky 4ch rx (losing about 2mm in length)

Been using it for 2 years with no problem.
Currently in my 64" span Sunbird that is usually flown 3-4 times as far away as a typical foamie.

Retreat, Hell!

@joban13

Do a range check after soldering.

Sometimes the signal wire can break at the point(s) of impact. So, do a continuity test as well just to be safe.

good one K.K.

only the unshielded part is what matters - should be about 30-31mm for 2.4ghz

so yes you can solder the broken antenna back on with no ill effects (generally speaking)

Swapnil has summed up rather neatly.
