Title: Need help with Flysky 6ch Radio - Batteries and setup for Quadcopter with KK2.0
Post by: Power_user_EX on February 28, 2013, 01:16:26 PM
1) The radio manual says it needs 8 x 1.5V AA Batteries. Shouldn't that be 1.2V ?
2) In ny case can I use a 9.9V Life Tx battery with this ? =Or= A 11.1V Lowdischarge LiPo TX pack (http://hobbysea.com/products.php?5&cPath=8&sid=826eda59086adc939865f9fd067a99b1) ?
3) I have KK Multicopter 2.0 w/ LCD. Where should I connect AUX from Flight controller to RX ?

These radios operate within a range of input voltages.  So both 9.9v LiFe and 11.1 lipo would both work.  Be careful about recharging them properly using appropriate chargers externally.

Use the 1450 mah 3s lipo for tx with these..
The life lipo will not fit in the battery compartment..
And you can charge the 3s lipo from hobbysea using normal lipo charger no need for any life lipo charging option(incase you are using the basic charger)
Also you can use nicad 1.2v cells in it...

Sorry i mentioned this lipo not the 2650mah from hobbysea.. :)

Just check the dimension of the 2650mah lipo before buying..

I Have Turnigy Accucel-6 50W 6A Balancer/Charger from Hobbyking so charging ny batt wont be an issue. I need help with connections from KK 2.0 to Flysky CT6B Receiver. Shud I use a BEC and connect it to Rx's 'Bat' port ? or will it run from ESC's 5V output ? Does ny1 know the channel mappings ? coz on the Rx its numbered and not named.

You dont want to give any extra power supply to the Rx, it will get powered up automatically.. :)
And even if you can charge the life lipo.. It will not fit inside the battry tray of flysky 6ch
So go for this one itself.. :)

Oh yes, I was commenting only on the voltage ranges.  Forgot to mention verification of the dimensions (to see if it will actually fit inside).

And you can charge the 3s lipo from hobbysea using normal lipo charger no need for any life lipo charging option(incase you are using the basic charger)

Please clarify this whole "normal lipo" charger thing... do you mean one without balance charging ?  We don't the OP to mess with the wrong ("normal" versus "normal lipo") charger, if that is going to be a problem.
