Title: Need Help...
Post by: Speedy on January 27, 2010, 03:46:54 PM
I got E-sky lama v4 heli, and it's come with Simulator option. How I can use the TX for simulator using 12V adopter without using battery. I tried 12v adopter but it's not working. It's mention in TX Charge '"-" -) "+" :headscratch: :help:

Even I tried with a 12v, 500mA as well with 1A. I was suggested not to exceed more than that. Also there is a mention of polarity. Probably you should check that.

I was assuming it was probably for rechargable batteries to charge while batteries inside the Tx

DO NOT SWITCH ON THE SIM/TX WHILE CHARGING ADAPTER (12V) IS PLUGGED IN TO THE TX CHARGING PORT. BETTER TO USE A 9 VOLT 300 MAH ADAPTER. I THINK 12 V ADAPTER IS NOT SUGGESTED TO CHARGE A 9.6 VOLT BATTERY...........................................

The supply voltage HAS to be greater than the battery voltage for charging. It will not be possible to charge a 9.6V battery with a 9V unit. Unless it is actually delivering much more than 9V!

What i mean here is that use a 9 volt 300 mah adapter instead of 12 V to use the sim directly without battery..... i am not saying charging.........

Ok i got hold of a old esky tx manual on-line. And this is was it says about the charging jack
"Charging jack when the transmitter is converted to nicd battery system"

http://www.rc711.com/shop/pub/manuals/RC711.com-ESky_4&6Channels_Transmitter_Instruction%20Manual.pdf

The manual has no other information than that.
