i have finally got my mac working with phoenix after a almost a year without sim have been flying v3 now for a while and wow it is a huge difference compared to v2,5

feels very real now , before heli was tracking way to good through manoeuvres and now i have to correct more like in reality  like in a piro funnel before it just tracked perfect now i have correct all the time and it is a bit wobbely and some time loose speed just like on the field ;D

Howz it compared to RF G4.5? I see that lots of people prefer RF on RCG, but most prefer Phoenix in India. Probably coz phoenix is less demanding on Hardware  :headscratch:

From what I know, U need to have a very good beast to release the potential of a G4.5.

I run G4.5 on Core2Duo 3Ghz, 4GB, 8800GT OC 512MB Graphics on 22" 16:10 LCD. Gives 50 to 70 frames at all settings high, except shadow is on medium detail.

I only have the older version of Phoenix.

Also, I tried RealFlight G5.5, and can say with all confidence that the behavior of helis is still best modeled in Phoenix.

Because I have not touched it for the past 6 months or so :giggle:

In fact, what I wanted to say earlier was that "I have only USED the older version of Phoenix" !

I guess u would need a dongle emulator to do it. Its available from the phoenix site. there are other hardware emulators to it called as the almighty emulator. but its pirated and not suggested. The authors truly deserves the money.

Phoenix does not come with any stick hardware, you typically use your own. I think they recently started bundling a DX5e, but that is again like using any commercial TX system.

The big question is, when you say you "have Phoenix v1.03c", do you have both the software/CD AND the hardware dongle ? You need both to say that you truly have Phoenix :)

Happy bootcamp user here... no issues at all.  Did not quite understand what the issue with USB is.  If you install Bootcamp from the CD that came with the Mac, it should have all the right drivers, and everything should work fine on Windows too.

Ya same.. But, I wanted to know because any game I run in Windows (BootCamp Booted) runs worse than the same game in Mac partition..
I run Phoenix and Realflight G4.5 on Windows, but they'll probably run better on the Macintosh partition..

Same, all USB's work fine.. TX as well as xBox controller :)
