Hi all,
I have a HK 6ch 2.4gz Tx.
While using it on SIM, I don't want to use 8 AA batteries to power it, instead I was wondering If I can connect a 12v power adapter and use it while on SIM, It has a charging port.
Would like to know what type of 12v adapter is needed.
Thanks.

I would suggest to use Tx-Lipo or Tx-LiFe battery with transmitter so that you dont need to charge it frequently. I use LiFe battery with transmitter and once charged it goes for weeks.

@augustinev, got it sir. So we cannot use a power adapter while Tx is on, now my next option would be to get a LiPo or Life battery for Tx as suggested by Spitfire.

@spitfire, can you please suggest batteries for HK Tx, one which can fit in the battery slot.
@sandeep, no harm using the batteries. It is just that I don't want to use battery when I am indoors.

Information sharing improves knowledge of both.

I Use Rechargeable AA battery of NiMH (1600mAH, Indian Rupees 25/piece) or Duracell AA. No problem till date.
Would suggest LiFe battery for matched one.

If you short the switch inside PCB, you can use adapter driven Tx.
But Always I recommend, PLEASE  Don't run Tx on Adapter, without battery, as any supply line glitch may damage your favourite Tx.

and there should be some simulator cable that should have the option to drive Tx from USB Power. Cheesy

Don't use Adapter specially 12 V directly on TX as any spike may damage your tx.  if you want to use, use idea of kalyan by shorting the switch, but use only 9V adapter.
