Title: Query about turigy 9x tx and rx
Post by: satyagupta on August 12, 2012, 09:45:26 AM
Hey guys can anyone tell what is module in transmitter, like here

this one where is turnigy with out module
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__24257__Turnigy_9X_9Ch_Transmitter_without_Module_Mode_1_v2_Firmware_.html

and this one is with module
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__8991__Turnigy_9X_9Ch_Transmitter_w_Module_8ch_Receiver_Mode_1_v2_Firmware_.html

What exactly this module is?? is it important for controllers like this to be usable?? one more and a silly question is what kind of battery will be required for this controllers..? the regular DURACELL AA will do??

Any help would be appreciated..
Thanks

The module contains the RF parts of the TX

In your case think of it as the engine of a car.

and yes it is essential ... without a module the TX will
not transmit .....just as a car will not run without its engine.

The above is an overly simplified explanation.

Yes ... The TX will work with regular Duracell AA's - you will
need 8 of them

Obviously.. Otherwise its useless. . The reason they sell w/o module is some guys like to fiddle around and use a different module with it .

f/w differences need not be counted, I guess. You can chnage to the better firmware er9x.

Hmm if i buy from HK i will get it around INR 4500 yes there is a chance of customs but from the last meeting i had with customs they did told me that 2.4Ghz are no longer banned they also showed me letter stating the same. So considering this situation i would consider buying from HK as from RCB the cost of radio is 5250 excluding shipping.. :(

IMHO if you are not a diy guy.. buying a fkysky is better than  turnigy 9x, as it has a module and antenna inside which is not so good compared to Fky sky which has a Jr style module, kind of plug and play, if you are looking at other jr style modules for telemetry
