HI i purchased a new RCB 7x Transmitter with Simulator. When i connect the Simulator USB to laptop with windows 8 i get a message Unrecognized USB.. is there a driver CD for this or should it install automatically when I connect the USB dongle to the computer.. Let me know if there is a issue with the simulator USB

hi,

drivers should install automatically when u connect the dongle.

first pair the tx and rx
then try connecting it,
and switch on the tx before u connect the dongle to pc

Satish the sim wire to the rx has to be connected in reverser polarity tht is the correct way for sim port only

Shanon does that mean that i connect the red to positive and black to negative.. in the receiver..

in the video i have mentioned i guess connect with red wire on top

Exactly i had the same problem, after lots of formatting and experiment i come to an conclusion that it does not support USB 3.0 Port .Directly attach dongle to USB2.0 port of your laptop or use an USB2.0 extension cable, it worked for me. try it.

USB 3.0 port is Blue in color inside
USB 2.o port is White or black in colour

so check the port of your laptop . i also mentioned this to rcb team.

Hi Prashant .. you are right.. there is an issue with the 3.0 with windows 8 i just installed http://www2.ati.com/drivers/13-9_win7_win8_32-64_sb.exe support and it worked fine.

Hey i have dell inspiron 15R....this lapi have 4 usb port all are blue in colour.....plz suggest which one is 2.0???

The left side of the Dell Inspiron 15R houses two USB 3.0 ports, the right side includes two more USB 3.0 ports. I doubt the new 15r has usb 2.0.

I do have inspiron 15R 5520 and all of them are USB3.0 means they all are blue...
i had plugged extension cable and then connected the wireless dongle of RCB . image below is extension cable.
if any of your friend is having it try it , if it works for you then you can think to buy it.

Yes using usb extensible cable is working for me, when i plug wireless simulator unit of RCB Directly to port it does not detect the device but when i use extensible cable it works. You try it and do post if it works or not because i think many of them is getting the same problem.

here me again....and havn't got any +ve result.....that dongle doesn't worked in usb 2.0 port not even by using it with extension cable.....any more feedback..???? it will be welcome....

try installing another OS windows 7 on your machine with a dual boot setup, but before doing that I would recommend that you test it first on someones PC/laptop which has windows 7 as we know that it works on windows 7. Once you are sure that your hardware is fine and works on windows 7 then you can have a dual boot option. I hope this helps

few things you need to consider.

1. Make sure you first ON you Tx before plugging your wireless sim.
2. Check for loose wires.
3. Post a pic with sim connected to you laptop.
4. Status of blue led on sim.

Here are the attached pics...both the lights are constant...i have tried it with 2 win 7 hb laptops and got the same result..even there is no+ve result when i plugged the dongle to usb 2.0 port or plugged it through usb extension cable....

Yesterday bought RCB7x and installed all the software. I'm using Asus G750JX Notebook running Windows 8 having 4 USB 3 ports. My USB dongle is not dected by the notebook. Tried extension cable also. Now trying to install Windows 7. Anybody please tell me the RCB7x Sim is working on Win8 with USB3 ports. Is it possible to upgrade the Real flight version 4 to the latest ie., Version 7.
Update :
Checked on Win8 desktop the same problen exists. USB dongle not detected by the system. Any solution for this to function properly ?

It works with windows 8. I hav installed successfully.mine is a sony vaio 64 bit.please verify that u hav 64bit.and it is not recommend to use extension usb cable
Try reinstalling, changing usb ports and install all the files given in the cd and then run the 'g4emu' and calabrite the tx in g4emu and click on launch game.make sure that both the leds on the rx are not blinking.

I've formatted my Asus G750JX and installed Windows 7 32 bit. Now the sim works. I want to update my OS to Windows 8.1. I'l try the sim on Win 8.1.  
Any body updated RealFlight to latest version ie., G7 ?

not possible with realflight sim as it needs an emulator.you can upgrade sims like fms,reflex,phoenix etc.here r the download links for phoenix sim

Where can I get fms,reflex,phoenix etc., and is it possible to use the fms,reflex,phoenix etc., with Avionic RCB7 wireless Sim or I want to buy a separate simulator USB dongle (wired).

No u cannot use wired sim as rcb7x has no trainer Port.i tried with reflex and fms.fms is always provided in the cd just install it.and for phoneix simulator I hav given the link in previous reply.just download and install. Then connect u r dongle to receiver and plug into usb port. (U may reffer the rcb7x ,manual) now open the sim and calabrite the tx in the sim.and thats all.now u can play.there are some paid simulator like clearview rc simulator. Here is the free trial
