Title: Spektrum DX7 to JR DSX7 trainer cable Post by: anwar on April 11, 2011, 06:35:29 PM Yesterday, Santhosh and I were trying to use a DX7 as master and a DSX7 the slave. From what I remembered, we needed to set the DX7 as P-Link in trainer menu, and set the DSX7 as "Slave/P-Link". There is at least one other combination also, which SHOULD have worked. In our case, it never worked, and we quit trying various combinations after about 15 minutes or so, as it was getting really hot around 1pm. From what I remember, we needed to use a mono cable, but Santhosh had only a stereo one. BTW, we had the slave turned off etc etc, so it does not seem like a "usage" issue.
A quick search seems to indicate that even a stereo cable should have worked ? Anyone here who can confirm (or point to a link which says) that it absolutely takes a mono cable for this to work ? The rest was all training, trimming, fixing models for others.... absolute pleasure !
