Hi Muzammil,
see the thing is that the reviews is ok there, but read some more reviews on other location and suggested by user of the forum only i.e. Saurabh. even i took his words about good review of radio and sold my Futaba radio just to purchase turnigy. i have flown my pilatus on this new radio and didn't find any difficulty. one more user from Panvel-Mumbai is also using the same radio for all his models. he is also having an online store for R/C product. if you want more stability on this radio, simply remove original module and put Frsky module for fail safe function . if your budget is 6k, then this is best option as new or you can put a wanted request for Futaba second hand radio, but that is for sure that you will not get 2.4 Ghz in Futaba in 6K. rest is your luck...

Yes Sunny,
It is the same radio, but I am not sure if the firmware is the same. This radio is basically designed for open source code. There are various firmware available on the net for this radio. I have the Turnigy one and it so far is good and reliable. I even fly my EPP FPV with autopilot on this radio. For the FrSky module, you can either use the DIY kit or the JR compatible FrSky module. But anyway you will have to open the radio to remove the stock module.

Here is the module : http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=14355

Here is the DIY : http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=14353

Good Luck.

Hi sunny_16977

The hardware is the same but the software is a bit different from one available from rcbazaar,

Radio is built around AVR micro controllers and folks at rcbazaar are working out a new firmware based on ER9X, once programmed the radio's firmware will be at par with high end radio's

Dear Subir,
i have taken out the Module & i m using various simulators which i have ordered from rcbazaar, i m using 6 in1 USB simulator package, so never tried poping the module in & out, i wld suggest u to remove the module always when using any simulator, thats how it works for me...

Hi Subir,

Yes, you have take module out as sunny suggested, for FMS as well.
I'm also using Turnigy 9x with FMS it's working fine for me. Also you will notice it saves lots of battery when you take module out and use it for simulator.

Please calibrate it with FMS before using.

Thanks,
-Vinayak.

how do you disconnect the antenna

Subir

Title: Re: Turnigy 9x Tx user
Post by: VinayakR on July 20, 2011, 10:24:07 AM
No need to disconnect the antenna.

Just pop out the module and that’s it. It will keep hanging with antenna wire.  And thats it. You should be ready to use it with simulator. That’s how I use it with FMS.

As the module will be hanging out with antenna wire you have to take precaution while using it. You may stick it somewhere else with double tape, or put piece of thermocol in hatch of the module so that connectors of module will remain disconnected.

I bought my Turngy 9x some time back with 2 Rx.
Once the RX is bound to the TX is there a process to debind the Rx from the TX. I need this because at any given point I want to use only one Rx.
I intend to use this radio  on my boat and rescue boat. Now assuming that my primary boat is stuck in middle of a lake and I need to send my rescue boat to get it back, and I have only this radio, I do not want the primary boat rx to respond to any functions when the rescue boat is operating since it will defeat the entire rescue operation .

Help!!!

Yes. I have been using the Turnigy 9X + FrSky DIY for a long time now. No probs with simulator. It works as good. No mods for sim required.

Hello Kiran,

I m using Turnigy 9x which is similar to Flysky 9x, Copterx CX- CT9A, Imax 9x, they are all the same with just different brand names, rcbazaar has got the same Tx which is as good as Turnigy 9x.

There is a yahoo group dedicated to Flysky 9x, chk here : http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Flysky_RC_radio/

Dear sreekanth,
i am using the Hobby king TX and RX but it is exactly the same as this one. The process of binding the second rx will unbind the first RX. So your purpose is solved

@Hangintough... No this does not solve the problem. Even if the second RX is bound to the TX the first RX also accepts the signals. It does not get unbound ( not sure if this is correct word)

Dear rooster,
You are not correct, when you bind the second RX , the first RX will get auto disconnected.

The Turnigy 9x has model memory so all you need to do is bind both the RX at differnt memory locations and then change the location on the TX .

Guys, I recently added rudders for f22 and am facing problem with prog mix.
Following is the setup.
Right servo is going to channel 6
Left servo is going to channel is 4

AUX-CH menu set to GEAR ( to enable it)
Prog.Mix Menu
Mix1
STATE          ACT
MASTER       RUD
SLAVE         FLP
OFFSET       000
UPRATE       100
DOWNRATE 100
SW             ON

Problem i am facing
Moving rudder stick to the right: Both rudders are moving to the right together (this is fine)
Moving rudder stick to the left: Left rudder moves completely to the left, right rudder is in neutral position.

Is there any configuration i need to add??
