Title: Aeromodelling and Healthcare
Post by: VC on June 21, 2012, 12:14:10 PM
As a part of my professional activities, I conduct Soft Skills Training Workshops for the staff of a major Healthcare provider. Yesterday, as a part of Lateral Thinking, I introduced them to Depron Plate Gliders. I was truly impressed by the participants grasp of ratios and proportions, and in no time they constructed the gliders which flew beautifully!

They were delighted as they had learnt how to make a new toy for their children, nephews and nieces. Now they also want to hold an inter departmental glider flying competition!

Here we go...............

Today the ladies joined in. They are more meticulous and exact while the guys are more 'lets get on with it and fly the damn thing!"

The first picture shows broom sticks being selected for fuselages.

Seems like a happy lot. No testing was possible due to torrential downpours.

I really wouldn't call this a workshop. More of a fun session. No, I was behind the camera. Thanks!

Whow,

Styrofoam Glider, This should be introduced in different workshops. This is not only cheap but also slow flying. God Job.

Sanding wing and using cello-tape in leading edge is the hack for this model. Plate edge adds stability automatically.

vc, In our wiki, please enrich by our knowledge and experience with different model plans, trimming, adjustments, tricks and materials please.

Thanks
