Thats simply fantastic Amir! KUDOS!! people like you , VC and others into such activities are really gonna make great impact by attracting younger breed to the hobby - we already have Kiddos like Ankurgr8 and Subbu.

Your program looks reasonable, and a kit for Rs 400 along with the training, I bet it would be the cheapest Aeromodeling class in the world (under $10 !!)... We had to literally beg the local NCC instructor to train three of us for a fee of Rs 100/person/month plus Balsa extra, way back in early 1990s!!

It would be great if people offer regular Aeromodling classes to young kids and grownups.

well i m also thr for gathering students interest ;D
but the problem is very few people seem to be interested
main reasons-
1.no time to  study
2.parents not interested/not giving permission
3.not interested in such activities

i m giving my lvl best to get as many people i can schools, coachings, wherever i can....bt still the prob continues

so we need ur assistance to attact and get the highest participation we can...

You should approach schools directly through proper channels, like talking to the teacher in charge of activities, or the principal.  Take some good marketing material with you, like photos from past sessions, and even some simple models.

Thats very usual with Indian living standards... you have to toil all your life to earn bread and butter. Out of 300+ friends I have, I just have 1 friend who has exactly intersecting hobby of mine - Electronics, Ham, Aero, and Photography! and only 2 in aero modeling before I joined online R/C and made few more in R/C

Keep the good work... even if you get 2-3 people a year, its gonna make a difference... In a country where the term 'Hobby' translate only to "Watching movies, reading, travelling, sining etc" in 200+ CVs I gone thru, Aeromodling as a Hobby is a hard thing to gulp!

To add to Anwar, if movies like  3-Idiots could not awake parents/schools, God alone could save our country!

@anwar bhaiya-well i tried to approach my class teacher and some other teachers  but they all say they cant do any announcement untill they get a letter from the office..so now its on amir bhaiya to approach thr and carry out the tasks
i have tried to spread the news but have been only got abt 5-7 people confirmed....reasons i have already told

@ujjwal bhaiya-lets see what we can do
i will get abt 20 people but i will try to increase the count
and most people are thr for robotics and not aeromodelling..lets see if amir bhaiya can throw in some concepts of aeromodelling to attract them thr ;D >:D

And BTW i m also here because of amir bhaiya :)

hey amir,
sugesttion is to demostrate the airshow in the school premises itself and if possible, and keep your target audience limited to students 9th to 12th students.
you know a live event will all what ppl need to get interested in this charismatic hobby...
cheers

Today we started them with brief introduction to aeromodelling, and making chuck glider..

One girl can bring 10 aeromodellers  ;) ;) ;) ;)
If i say that was my aim behind the workshop ?

Ya we teach boys too..  ;D ;D ;D
Their workshop is from 24th.

But girls here seems much more enthusiastic that any other workshop i have conducted..
Most of them know about balsa wood..
Even class 6th girls were familiar with basic flight science..

This was what i always wanted to see...
Lets see.. Today their chuck gliders will be completed...
hoping they enjoy their flying too..
