AMAI is conducting the first ever Indoor Aeromodelling Nationals at Little Angels School Sonepat 12-14 May. Plan to have HLG, CLG, Rubber Power and Indoor RC categories. Being the first ever such event things will be flexible and lots of opportunity for fun fly, workshops and interact with fellow Indoor Enthusiasts. I have volunteered to co-ordinate the rubber power events. Will post details soon. Come join the fun and get a feel of the challenge and excitement of Indoor Aeromodelling. But this first indoor event has certainly kindled interest in indoor free flight. Right after this event I was invited by the Kohlapur Aeromodellers group to come to Kohlapur and gave them a two day intensive workshop on indoor rubber power. Hope to have some serious participants in next indoor event from this group. The aeromodellers in Nagpur also are working towards honing their skills in indoor free flight. So the momentum is slowly gaining traction. Seriously working on having an indoor event in Goa. We have several ideal indoor sport venues that were made for the Lusifonia games a few years ago. Need to do some running around to make it happen. Looking forward to the day when the Indian team participates in the FAI Indoor Competition. |
