Serious competition versus fun flying:AMA response-

Good to hear of the growing interest in FAI competitions,as of now majority are happy flying freestyle ,what they call 3D,not even aware of the F3A and F3P classes,however we intend to encourage the FAI manouvers and introduce the Certification of flyers into  Cat A and B in the near future and provide a sponsorship for participation in the FAI competitions.

For participation in FAI three basic requirements are mandatory -Insurance,Cat B certificate and the competition license from Aero Club of India.Our membership provides the first two and we help in getting the third.

Through the platform of events we are bringing together the aeromodelers and an awareness amongst them to have standards of safety and competition norms,else they fly in their favourite fields not exposed to the serious competition opportunities.Lesser countries participate in FAI ,we are a large country and have good pilots,we must send a team to the FAI comps.
