Title: OLD TOWN ROAD - RC racing event Post by: Pragyan, NIT Trichy on February 20, 2020, 07:09:19 PM A racing event in which participating teams have to build a remote-controlled vehicle that will compete against those built by others, on track. The track will be prepared in such a way that it consists of different types of terrain to test the ability of the vehicle, and the controller.
Prize Money INR 40,000 Round 1 - Abstract Submission: Participating teams have to submit a video of their working prototype which should be able to perform basic movements along with uphill and downhill manoeuvres. The last date for abstract submission is 25th February 2020. 16 Teams will be shortlisted for the on-campus round. Round 2 - On-Campus Round: This will consist of live racing on a prepared track. First stage: The selected 16 teams will be divided into groups of 4. Each group will have one race and the top 2 teams from each group will move to semifinals. Semifinals: Races will be conducted in groups of 4 and the top 2 teams from each will advance to the finals. Finals: The top 3 finishing teams will be given prizes accordingly. Moreover, the deadline is for abstract submission only and assuming most of the people in the forum are equipped with the RC cars already, submission of the abstract should not be a problem.
