Fuel Oil and Lubricants :- Will be provided on site at cost price, rest assured will not be expensive.
Charges for participating :- Nil
Food beverages at site will be at the CSD canteen rates (For those who know, it is dirt cheap), if i can, will try and make it on the house, atleast food and the first round of drinks

Aircraft participating are more than 30 as of now, from nitros, electrics to gassers to helis, nearby school children will also be invited.

Gusty, it would be searing hot out in the Sun, plus possibility of high winds due to ground heating. Suggest all flying is done early in the morning or late evenings

Since the guest room is already booked for Sushil, may I request you to let me sleep the night /nights inside the cockpit of a MiG 21? If that is inconvenient, how about arranging for a camp cot for me in the hangar? I'm dead serious (Gusty, you know that). That way, I can wake up can see a legend first thing in the morning. That's a story that I would love to tell my grandchildren some day.

Gusty Sir, this is super duper thing and I must salute you for your efforts to spread this hobby. I am a big fan of you :) Unfortunately I will have to skip this as I have some real things building in my life.. I might be moving to States for some long term assignments...

Yesterday was one of the best Sunday's of my life in a long time. The RC meet was absolutely superb. Got an opportunity to meet with veteran aeromodellers and watch them fly their beautiful birds (including but not limited to giant scale Katana, corsair, cap 232, cessna, parkmaster, acromaster, etc). Thanks a ton Gusty bhaiya for organizing the meet. The location was very nice to fly RC. The glow powered aircrafts and their pilots made my day.

Actually, I had told Gusty bhaiya about this. He sent PM's to only those who had put up a comment in the thread, and he assumed that the rest will understand that it hasn't been called "off".

We were really missing a lot of RCIndia members, the only ones who were there were me, Kalyan da, my friend Ankit, Rajib bhaiya and of course gusty bhaiya. (Sorry if I have missed some names here!)

But, VC bhaiya I had sent you a PM few days before the meet asking you whether you were coming to the meet or not, but I didn't get any reply so I assumed that you were busy packing stuffs to be carried to the meet.  :giggle: ;D

But, here's the good news, Gusty bhaiya has decided to get that area cleared so that future RC meets can be carried on there, it's just a perfect place. The meet might be held there every once a month or so, i'm not too sure, but he was talking about it. And to add to that we have the shillong meet coming up.

Since Gusty bhaiya is busy transferring to a new location, he might not be online for 15 days or so, so he asked me to continue this thread.  ;D

The RC meet organized at the disused WW 2 runway in Dudkundi  was a great success  as a lot of veteran hobbyists attended the meet and showed some stunning moves (a few of them have been included in the video Rohit has posted). There were the hobbyists from IHC (India’s Hobby Centre) and others from RCTC and forum members  including  myself , Kalyan da , Rohit and Rajib da.
There was a shamiana , sitting arrangement , fans , transport and other facilities all thanks to Gusty bhaiya’s efforts. It was a real hot afternoon and the sun shone like hell , but no one could keep their eyes off the stupendous katana , corsair ,aeromsater , jet ranger , and a couple of other ones  :)
The pilots were amazing and all I could manage was look dumbfounded  :o at their skills and maneuvers and applaud. This was an incomparable experience that has brought me closer to this hobby. I saw faces that loved those RC birds and hope to have a couple of those great planes myself someday (that is if I could ever manage to rise to the skills those pilots had).
There was only one man who could have made such a meet possible and he was BANG ON   :thumbsup: !!
Grateful to have such a kind and warn hearted person as a senior in the hobby   :salute: .
Special thanks to the  Air Commander (sorry for missing out on his name)and the other officials from Air Force Station,Kalaikunda  without whose efforts this meet would have been impossible.

But one balsa expert pass the time by fixing the foamy damaged by an airpass nearby you can watch at 6:33 min of video. But before this, it lost it's prop earlier , then broken motor-mount and after fixing with 5 minute epoxy, it again opened by Airblow of another glow. :giggle:
