Seeing this thread, i feel a sense of loss,
For having left

It is the moment just before the flag hoisting with quad. We thought, take off from ground is better.

Have some respect to the National Flag.   It is the flag for which our soldiers die without second thought.   They will let their life go in battlefield rather than letting flag touching the ground under any circumstances.

Atleast show some respect to them.  Please remove the picture and show thoughts whenever you "play around with the National Flag".

hey hey hey, I don't think a full spread flag touching ground will become disrespectful, i'm also happy to give all kind of respects and care to our flag. anyway, if that pic actually hurt you then just report any moderators to remove that pic because i have no permission to do that.

Even i didnt aware that lying the national flag in the ground was disgraceful. Anyway we did it with respect in our mind. So not at all woried about that.
And this is a forum and we people here are like a family here, if some one made a mistake better than banging your head you can correct us...
I have seen many places where our flags are spreaded in loans and grounds...
Also many have drwan flags in rangolies as well.. Never felt like a disrespect full moment at all.. Many donw with hght respect, and here we also done the same with high respect to our country.
In my view spreading the flag is better than crushing it with flowers inside and tieing with a rope, correct me if i am wrong..

It may not be disgraceful or an act to be worried about to put flag on the ground in view of some people, unknowingly.  If it so, all I can say that it is very unfortunate.  Please do not follow wrong practices just because somebody else has also done same in the past. Please go thru the link below.  Hope this helps.

National Flag touching the ground is disrespect to the Flag, there is no doubt on that. In fact Colours of a Unit, or Nishan as it is called is Never let go, even at the cost of your life, not only in our country, in any country

Read about the story of Battle of Gettysburg, in less than a minute 21 soldiers died but they didn't let the flag fall on the ground

Having said that, remember it is symbolic and respect comes from the heart.

Boys weren't aware of this fact, while ignorance is no excuse. this one could be condoned and original spirit of the thread should be preserved and this issue be stopped here and not discussed any further

PS
Guys, please remove that picture in which the flag is touching the ground

PPS
Peace out guys ! bury the hatchet

A lot of times we tend to miss the intention... in this case it was to fly the tricolor way higher than the ground... higher than being able to raise it with their hands even while jumping in the air.

It is the hearts that matter, almost every single time.

PS: Legality is another matter, so removing the pic to prevent members from getting into trouble unintentionally.
