NATIONAL LEVEL RC NITRO CAR RACING IN JEPPIAAR ENGINEERING COLLEGE, CHENNAI ON SEPTEMBER 18TH:NOTE:This National RC Car Racing Event is only open for Engineering Students in India and not an Open Class Event Be Ready to take Our Second National Level RC Nitro Car Racing Event on September 18th..in SAE Convention going to take place in our Jeppiaar Engineering College, Chennai-119
......on September 17th and 18th.
So Bring your RC Nitro Cars ( RTR Kits are allowed) to race in the world class RC off- road Track and Largest Off-road Track of South-India.
Well the participants are lucky to race in the South-India's Largest Off-Road RC car Track .
The dimension of the Off-Road RC Car track = 60m* 40m= 2400sq.mThe Track will consist of all the challenges included in the International Track.

THE EVENT FORMAT:First of all the cars would be examined by our team and if any found to be unsuitable for race would be disqualified..
1.) Preliminary Round: In Preliminary round about 5-6 teams would be raced together for about 8-10 laps, and the teams which would get the first 3 places will qualify for the next round...
(no of.laps and no.of teams in a race may be changed )
2.) Quarter Finals: In Quarter final round, 10-12 teams which have qualified from the Prelims would be raced in two segments randomly and from that top 8 teams would be selected for the Semi-final..
(No.Of.laps may vary from 5-7 laps)
(the track challenges may be varied at this level)
3.) Semi Finals: In Semi final round, 8 teams qualified from the quarter final would be raced in two segments( 4 in each) and from this the top 4 teams would qualify for the final round.
4.) Finals: In Final round, the top 4 teams would race together and from this the person who finishes the required laps in least time would be the winner, 2nd and 3rd place are given based on the timing.
(NOTE: PENALTY of 15 seconds would be added to car which crosses the boundary of the track)
RULES :GENERAL EVENT RULES: 1.) Total No.of.participants in a team may not exceed 5 members, a team may comprise of students from different institutions.
2.) Once the Race starts, only the marshals ( volunteers ) have the rights to re-position the car, none of the team members should enter the track
3.) The Coordinators reserve the right to dis-qualify any team indulged in mis-behaviour.
ENGINE: 1.) Only nitro engine operated vehicles are allowed
2.) Maximum displacement of the engine should not exceed 4.5cc.
3.) Nitro % in the fuel used should not exceed 20%.
ABOUT CARS:]1.) Ready-To-Run kits are accepted .
2.) If the kit is found unsafe on the track, the co-ordinator has the right to disqualify the team.
3.) Since the track has Jumps and bumps through-out ,only Off-Road RC Nitro cars can race.
TRANSMITTER:1.) Both pistol type and stick type transmitters are allowed.
2.) At the Venue, The Teams Should submit their Radio Frequency at the Registration desk.
3.) All the teams participating in the race expected to have 2 crystal transmitters, in case of frequency clash the team have to change their crystals to a different frequency.
4.) No crystals will be provided by the organizers.
