Title: [450 ARF Kit w/ KK2.1 Controller] What is the specification of battery?
Post by: surojit_salt on November 30, 2014, 09:44:43 PM
Hi,

I wanted to build a new drone. I found one drone kit.
http://www.quadkopters.com/product/arf-kit-rtf-kit-and-frames/450-arf-kit-w-kk2-1-controller/ (http://www.quadkopters.com/product/arf-kit-rtf-kit-and-frames/450-arf-kit-w-kk2-1-controller/)

but the battery specification is not clear. Can any body give me suggestion on this topic? Do any of you know any other website to buy this kind of kit.

Thanks & Regards,
Surojit

You can get anything from a 2200mAh 3S 25C (~5-10 min flight), to 5000mAh (more flight time but not cheap.)

And this kit from quadKopters, is the lowest price option in India.

If you can, go for this one, it comes with sunnysky motors, and you won't regret the spending the extra money.

As far as the battery is concerned, for starters, a 3S 2200mAh or 4000mAh will serve you good.

I wanted to build a new drone. I found one drone kit.
You have got all the help you need. All I want to add is to request you not to refer to RC models as 'drones'. With all the hype surrounding this word, calling your models (especially multirotors) 'drones' can cast a negative light on the hobby due to the negativity associated with the word. Please refer to them as hobby grade models instead, or more specifically, quadcopters. The term 'drone' for these models is in itself inaccurate as it suggest a much longer range or higher level of autonomy than the models are capable of. Please see these threads:

Good luck and I hope you enjoy RC

Hi SK1701,
