Greetings people
I don’t know exactly where to post this, but I hope this is the right place , if not i do apologize for my mistake.

I am writing this in hope of finding answers to some of the questions put to me by my project coordinator about a fixed wing aircraft I am making. The questions are like , why did you put canards , why do the wings have 6 degree forward sweep why not 5 or 7 degree sweep, why 14000 grams of lift and why is the fuselage 285 mm wide etc. etc…… and he wants the answers based on calculations.

Every single curve or dimension needs to have a calculated answer.  So can I get these answers answers without  having to read all the degree courses cause it would atleast take a month to do that and then there is a understanding it to the point of application .
So I would be really grateful if you people could help me find alternative ways to get my answers.

Thank you .

Sir,
Why did you design an aircraft with:
1. Canard configuration?
2. Swept forward wings?
3. 14kg lift?
4. Side by side seating or fore and aft?
5. Scale, wing span and fuselage length?

As the designer, if you know why you did these, it would be easy to answer your project coordinator!
Regards.

I ran iterations through a software which given with some input parameters provides you with certain results , like I selected a power configuration which gives me 7000gms thrust approx and with 85  dm^2 wing area it produces 14000 gms lift at full throttle.
So what I need to do is to know all the underlying  calculations.

Actually its just not my design it could be any body's design.  What I need to know is how that design was derived or by what calculations where the dimensions determined.

@infamous,
What is it that you want to do?
If you could state your objective clearly, perhaps some of us could try to help.
Are you actually planning a model that can be built, or are you just exploring theoretical possibilities?
Remember that there is a significant difference between full size and models.
Regards.

Well, I am trying to build a model, it could be any model but its shape and dimensions are to be determined by calculations.

Thank you.
