under some load no the servo arms... the plastic gears give up and become bald.
where as in a metal ones the gears dont give up so easily and retain the gears for some load
thus givin you a chance to keep the control in case the servo is overloded in any point of time in flight..
(this happens specially when you are recovering from a dive, first half of the loop, high winds and coming headwind etc)
