Well I was going through the Vortex rc page and saw an photo of an airfoil on top of it, it was written RCFoils.com I googled it and found out an website which was Indian and provided custom wing cores. I guess it is an Vortx RC website.

RCFoils.com is a partner site for Vortex-RC and provides hot wire CNC wing cores for the VT-AllRounder and VT-Speedster models.

RCFoils specialises in producing custom wing airfoil foam cores. Shall be providing an ability for all RC builders and pilots to be able to order their own wing core ( Choose airfoil, chord, length, taper, sweep ) and get it delivered to you !

Wanted to go ahead and liberate everyone from using flat wings and KFMs to using true airfoils to get the efficieny and performance of airfoils

@rcnitesh: Wait for sometime, sooner or later we will start taking orders for different airfoils. Just by giving us exact specifications and dimensions you'll get your foil/wing easily.

@radiocraft: as i previously said, we will be taking orders for airfoils/wings. Then only we could tell about making ailerons and servo cabins. Servo cabins are difficult from CNC, but, might be ailerons could be marked. Since, cutting aileron would leave corners and gap which is prone to cracks and breakage during shipping. lets see.

Sir, that would be added after a few days. Right now we don't take any orders for airfoils. Other products being developed.

I didn't knew it just guessed.

We shall be taking custom airfoil orders very soon. In fact in a week or so. Working on getting the sytems in place to process orders efficiently. Hopefully this service will be of tremendous use to all scratch builders and competition pilots .

Go on - design your most efficient wing, and we shall produce if for you ! with CNC precision !

Wow!!! how did you did that can you post links from where you got the idea and from where did you take reference.

Well, truly speaking its not a real DIY. The CNC we use for cutting out airfoils is a specifically designed machine we have designed and created and has tremendous accuracy, precision and reliability.

Here are a couple of real fine cuts (upto .03mm accuracy !! ) on foam sheets that show how thin our machine can cut.

We plan to offer our machine in kit form shortly, for the benefit for all modellors in the country.

We also plan to start taking orders for custom airfoil orders from next week.

yeah !! , i tried to build a laser cutter , by magnifying the laser from a dvd writer (got to know about it somewhere on the internet ) , it even worked , but i wasn't able to computer control it as it requires a lot of things and a lot of codes and softwares

Devang, same is the case with CNC machine too. It also requires many codes and software.

Ummm... I could not say anything on this. This is not yet decided/discussed. But, we assure you of providing the most appropriate product which is not readily available in market and with the complete kit including everything. Till then, keep on checking the website.
