The difference in grades is determined by the grain in relationship to the cut piece, some may have the grain at a 45 degree angle to the sheet or more or less, this is usually B or C grade. 4-6lb is the weight of a cubic 1 foot sq. 4-6 pound stock is the lightest grade and the hardest to get which lends the higher cost. 8-10lb stock is less expensive
