hey guys...
i felt to share this to our community coming to the main story... A youtube channel and fb video page company came to be in contact to us (fpv flyers in mumbai) earlier they named it documentary and called a meet we thought it would be a drl type of documentary later.... when a meeting was conducted they proposed a short film saying U.S and foerign countries should know even we can do something like this.... we said okie.. a storyline was pitched forward.
The story is a guy who is Tapori ( bad person) come to a location where 3 guys are having their racing drone practise and later a drone lands near his legs he kicks the quad and hits the guy as they are nerds they ask sorry and move over.... well this part was okie...later that guy goes and tries to tease and abuse a girl nearby so these pilots tend to hurt and scare the guy away now there is a chasing scene in the story where the guy falls and even may be gets cut ( these cuts on body scene was removed as i asked nt to potray scene where drones are dangerous... well again at that time we didnt knew even chasing scene would look that dangerous) later a big drone comes across the guy and he gives up the girl is the pilot and is a frnd of those pilots.....
In the story everything is f9 and it is dramatic and good to go viral among people.................but thinking as a hobbyist and discussing it with some seniors i came to know that those scene where the guy would be afraid of those 210 size quads and chasing scene normal people who watch it would understand that drones are scary and they can harm them to severe .... also a negative feed is send across.... with the already drone ban thing going on in the country.... me and others asked them to change the story line on the day of the testing as we saw it was scary and discussed among

The director or the person in contact with us said rather argued that we cannot change the story and all arrangements are made and stuff .... they neither paid nor did we knew we were collabrators we were just told that we would be given credits at the end of video .... for our youtube channnel or fb links ..... well payment and all didnt mattered to us but we were to fly for fun and our hobby as they claimed a positive message would pass ... but it seemed majority of the part was chasing a man and it was negative and no where positive in anyway.... well they also said we would find other pilots who would do the shots for them.....
So guys a sincere request if you get any such proposals.... would like request you to reject where drones are potrayed bad .... as the film makers have nothing to do with the hobby they will release the film and earn and go away the problem will be to our fellow hobbyist.... i have tried to spread the word in whtsapp groups...
Pls. keep such people who are fame and money minded away from the hobby to secure the hobby....
let me know if what we did was right or wrong.... Thankss in advance Hats Off

Re:

Well said. I can imagine from a layman's perspective that this will create an impression that rotors could be used as an "electronic pepper spray", which in itself has the lines of some sort of weaponry.

Kudos to you, since instead of promoting the short film that you are a part of, you stood up against something that is against your(and our) ideas for the sake of the hobby.
