Title: Bringing DJI Phantom 4 to India
Post by: RPP on August 13, 2016, 09:35:33 AM
Looks like my plans have been laid to waste. I have called the Customs, DGCA, and WPC both in Bombay and Delhi and there is no clarity on the policy, judging from the answers I have gotten. The official Indian govt websites are from the Stone Age of the web. Impoverished African countries probably have a better presentation. I wrote up a blog post -

Question: how do places like AVCS who sell drones online in India get their stock into the country?

Since I could not bring my bird from California, I bought a new DJI Phantom 4 from AVCS.

AVCS website is still down. Calls to their listed phone numbers go unanswered. Any idea what's going on with them?
