As a rule of thumb keep the parcel as small/light as possible. I have got most of my small parcels without any hickups but is time consuming. So keep that in mind while ordering anything via so called "free shipping".
If you use dhl/fedex etc for shipping, then they will usually charge customs on the declared amount+ handling charges, without hassling you for noc's and approvals. So they are quick/tension free but costly. But be carefull.. u should not opt for registered china mail shipping which ships to kolkatta customs and there things get stuck for weeks and even month. Mine is stuck since 20 days. Hongkong air mail is definitely better. (the delhi one). |
