SYMA X8HG

The reason that your drones got seized is its size and the camera. The Syma X8HG (or any Syma X8) is huge. The chances are less that you get it back. Syma X8HG is quite big and it has a camera. Camera drones are not allowed to India. So I think you should contact banggood for that. PLease do post thew reply of Bangdood for further help.
I personally have ordered many drones from these Chinese Sites and reach me fine. I have got 2 camera quadcopter and 4 other small quads from china. The reason that the camera drones also reached me fine is because they were not so professional like the X8HG and were medium in size. But frankly speaking, it depends. It was possible that mine could get stuck. Just Luck. Feeling really bad for you :-\. I just today ordered 4 Quadcopters from Banggood and FS-I6X with a Multiprotocol Module to fly it with my H8 mini, E010, and H20 today and hope that it reaches me fine :).

Just be courteous, respectful, and email BG guys saying that you still didn't recieve the parcel.
After a while, they will offer refund/reshipping. Choose refund because there is no way drone will get through customs.

I got back ₹9000 on an RC helicopter that way.

why don't you ask the customs to ship it back?
If you do what Harish has said, banggood will be at loss as they will return you your money + they wont have their quad back.
Just visit the customs office and submit an application to send it back.
Regards

Forget about it, move on
They shouldn't refund for customs, customs and your ignorance about what's allowed is buyer end issue.

Try to send it back, don't expect them to refund if it's stuck.

I dont think that is the case. I think there are chances of the money being refunded my banggood.

Just ask customs to send it back. They will. I got this piece of information straight from customs officers mouth.

You have to write a letter asking customs to return to sender. Atleast, that's what Bangalore PAD officer told me.
